根据真实事件改编，印度农民沙拉布吉特因为喝醉酒误闯印巴边界，被巴基斯坦游骑兵当做间谍以及恐怖分子进行逮捕，关押在巴基斯坦监狱将近20年，沙拉布吉特的姐姐花了大半辈子的时间试图营救弟弟，将他带回家乡。
